Why this blog exists
We built TRAKKAR.IN because the time-tracking tools we used all forced a tradeoff: powerful enough to actually run a business, or simple enough that the team would actually use it — never both.
This blog is where we'll publish the things we learn while working on that problem:
- Real workflow patterns from the teams running TRAKKAR.IN in production
- Honest writing on what's worth measuring and what isn't
- Product updates with the why, not just the what
What you'll find here
We post on three topics:
- Time tracking that doesn't feel like surveillance — how we think about screenshots, idle detection, and the line between accountability and overreach.
- Productivity for distributed teams — async standups, attendance signals, and reporting that managers actually read.
- Behind the build — engineering notes on shipping a product like this.
