No. Trakkar does not run payroll, salaries or statutory deductions such as PF, ESI, PT or TDS. If you need payroll with attendance in one system, Keka is the better fit.

How much does Keka cost in India?

Keka's pricing page did not show prices when we checked on 29 Oct 2026. It lists Foundation, Strength and Growth plans for HR and payroll, and Basic, Pro and Advanced plans for projects and timesheets, and asks you to call or request a demo. Its FAQ says a nominal setup fee applies. Trakkar costs ₹120 per user per month plus GST, with no setup fee.

Does Keka have selfie and GPS attendance?

Yes. Keka's Strength plan lists selfie clock in, continuous location punching and geo fencing, and its help center explains employee-level geofencing for remote clock in.

Can Keka track project time and bill clients?

Pricing in rupees

Keka. On 29 Oct 2026 at 8:08 PM IST, Keka's pricing page listed three HR and payroll plans (Foundation, Strength and Growth) and three Projects and Timesheets plans (Basic, Pro and Advanced), but no prices. The HR plans have a Free Trial button, the PSA plans say "Talk to us", and the page gives a phone number for plan advice. Its FAQ says "a nominal setup fee applies" to cover onboarding, payroll setup and data import. To compare costs, ask Keka for a written quote that lists every plan and add-on you need.

There is no monthly billing; you pay for 6 or 12 months at a time. There is no setup fee, and the 14-day trial needs no card.

Attendance and leave

Both tools cover the daily basics: clocking in, leave requests and approvals.

Keka is built for HR teams that run attendance for the whole company. Its attendance page lists eight ways to capture attendance: biometric devices, remote clock in, geo tracking, continuous tracking, IP restrictions, facial recognition, selfie attendance and timesheet-based attendance. It connects to biometric, smart card, RFID and face recognition devices, handles overtime rules, and links late marks and absences to loss of pay in payroll. Employees can raise attendance regularization requests online. Leave policies, leave types and approvals are set up in its leave module, which also updates Google Calendar and works with Slack and MS Teams.

Trakkar keeps attendance next to the work. Staff clock in from the web app or the Android and iPhone apps. Leave, WFH, time corrections, overtime and expenses go to one approval queue. Selfie, GPS and geofenced attendance

If your staff work in the field or at client sites and you want photo or location proof at clock in, Keka covers it. Its Strength plan lists selfie clock in, continuous location punching and geo fencing (pricing). Keka's GPS attendance page describes a live location dashboard and selfies matched against the employee database. Its help center explains employee-level geofencing for remote clock in (help center).

Shifts

Keka includes basic shift management on its Foundation plan and sells advanced shift management as an add-on (pricing). Its shift page describes rotations, automatic shift assignment, shift swaps from the mobile app, and overtime and night shift rules that flow into payroll.

In Trakkar you add shifts in Settings, and each shift has its own grace period for late arrivals, so a morning shift and a late shift can follow different rules. See shift management software.

Time tracking, projects and client billing

This is where the two products differ most in how you buy them.

Keka sells project time and billing as a separate Projects and Timesheets (PSA) product, priced on request (pricing). PSA Basic lists project time tracking, a start and stop task timer, timesheet policies and approval chains, phases and milestones, task boards and client holiday calendars. PSA Pro adds invoices, time and material, milestone and retainer billing, payment tracking, credit notes and cost and margin charts. PSA Advanced adds project health and links timesheets to payroll tools such as QuickBooks, Gusto and ADP. Keka says approved timesheets can move into billing and payroll (timesheets), and its billing page mentions rate cards, currencies and tax rules per client (project billing).
